About Renderplas

Renderplas was formed in 1990 with a clear aim; to develop a new beading solution to overcome the shortcomings of traditional steel beading profiles.

The solution was render beads manufactured from PVCu, a flexible construction material widely used for long-lasting performance.

Renderplas was the first PVCu bead manufacturer in the UK and the first to complete a full life cycle assessment (LCA), enabling specifiers and users to fully understand the environmental credentials of Renderplas beads. In an independent environmental profile report, Renderplas PVCu beads achieved the top eco-rating available to beading products in the UK construction market with an ‘excellent’ Ecopoint rating of just 0.004 per kg installed.

Today, Renderplas is dedicated to continued investment in product innovation and development, to offer the industry a full range of plaster & render beading solutions. The Renderplas bead range spans internal, external and EWI applications.

Renderplas beads are also BBA certified and comply with the British Standard BS EN 13914:2016 which covers the design, preparation and application of external rendering and internal plastering.

A combination of superior product performance, our wide range, ready availability and outstanding service, combined with the best environmental credentials in the market, enable Renderplas to be the PVCu beading provider of choice for specifiers, contractors, merchants and homeowners.

The advantages of PVCu beads

The use of PVCu as a material for building products such as doors, windows, facias and soffits is widely recognised for its low maintenance requirements and high performance.

In addition, the potential sustainability credentials of PVCu can support the increasing desire for improved embodied carbon. In stark contrast to single-use plastic, Renderplas PVCu beads are guaranteed to last the lifetime of your render and a minimum of 25 years.

Locally manufactured in Britain, Renderplas beads are fully BBA compliant and with a sixth of the embodied energy of steel beads, are the only product in the market to achieve an ‘excellent’ environmental Ecopoint rating of 0.004/kg installed.

In addition to the ‘excellent’ Ecopoint rating, Renderplas white beads are made from 100% recycled PVCu, while Renderplas coloured beads are made from up to 90% recycled, a combination which makes it a very clear sustainable specification choice.

Factors including a low production carbon footprint and lower shipping emissions due to being a lightweight material make further contributions to Renderplas PVCu beads’ sustainability credentials.

The flexible nature of PVCu beading prevents cracking, minimising ‘return to site’ remedial work, thus reducing the requirement for repair or refinishing. The finish also provides a good key, resulting in a high quality finish.

Renderplas PVCu beads range

Renderplas manufactures bellcast beads, corner beads, expansion joint beads and stop beads for external applications, suitable for all residential and commercial projects, enabling specifiers to create a crisp, clean finish that can be installed as designed.

For internal finishes the range includes corner beads, expansion joint beads, stop beads, edge beads, shadow gap beads and arch beads, suitable for use in conjunction with wet plastering or within dry lining applications.

Renderplas has also developed specialist render meshes, insulation beads and fixings for External Wall Insulation (EWI) systems and External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems (ETICS), bringing the same quality and performance of the render and plaster beading solutions.

Available in white as standard and eight additional colours, PVCu beads blend seamlessly with most coloured renders across the full range of popular depths. This allows architects and contractors to specify through-coloured renders in vibrant colours that suit each individual project’s design requirements.

Renderplas PVCu beads are designed for easy installation and excellent finish, regardless of the type and the application.
