Angle beads

Plasterboard angle bead profiles are used at corners and reveals. They provide a clean, straight edge to the dry lining.

Unlike steel alternatives, PVCu plasterboard angle beads are an unobtrusive component of dry lining finishes that will never rust or stain. The inherent strength and durability of PVCu also helps to protect plasterboard and skim plaster from damage in the event of impact.

Angle beads

PVCu plasterboard angle beads help to achieve a perfect finish in dry lined internal walls. They contribute to maintaining the appearance of the finish for the life of the plasterboard.

Angle beads are small components which can have a big impact on the internal aesthetics of residential and commercial projects. Made from recycled PVCu, plasterboard angle beads give specifiers and contractors peace of mind that they’re using a safe and sustainable product which doesn’t compromise the quality of the end result.

Angle bead applications

Plasterboard angle beads are designed for use as part of internal dry lining systems. They provide a straight edge and clean line to the plasterboard at corners and reveals. Another way to describe them is as a type of skim bead.

Correctly specified and installed plasterboard beading helps to achieve well-defined and reinforced edges in walls that are dry lined internally. As with all PVCu bead profiles, plasterboard angle beads provide a good key, allowing installers to achieve the best possible finish.

For internal finishes featuring wet plaster, plaster corner beads are available. Render angle beads are used for walls with an external render finish.

The strength and durability of Renderplas plasterboard angle beads ensures products don’t present a safety risk if damaged or pulled from a wall, making PVCu the preferred material for buildings such as schools, hospitals and prisons.

Available in 2mm depth to suit a skim plaster coat, plasterboard angle beads are offered in white as standard.

PVCU bead colour options

All Renderplas PVCu beads, whether used for external render or internal plaster, are available in white to match the majority of render and plaster specifications.

Both functional and aesthetic, through-coloured renders are widely used by architects to create bright, bold building facades and to support these creations, Renderplas also offer a wide choice of other colours to meet the individual design requirements of all types of building.

Therefore, our external PVCu render beads come in up to nine colours to match the vast majority of renders available from the leading UK manufacturers, including Clayworks, Ecorend, K Rend, Parex and Weber. Renderplas PVC beads need no alternative maintenance and eliminate the time and cost of repainting, which would be required when using steel bead alternatives. Colours are UV stabilised to provide a perfect finish for years to come.
