External Wall Insulation (EWI) mesh reveal beads are used where EWI systems and ETICS meet window frames, door frames and other changes in the facade.

Also called APU beads, they are designed to give a perfect, straight finish while providing protection against impact. They complement mesh reveal drip beads to provide a complete solution around openings.

Once on-site, the beads are easy to install and compatible with all thermal insulation materials. Mesh reveal bead applications

Mesh reveal beads are designed for use as part of EWI systems and ETICS. Used in conjunction with mesh reveal drip beads, they provide a clean stop to the system around door frames, window frames and other openings.

Mesh reveal beads feature alkaline-resistant glass fibre reinforcement mesh that ensures compatibility with all types of thermal insulation. For projects featuring render systems and no external insulation, render stop beads are available.

Plaster stop beads and plasterboard stop beads are available for internal finishes.

Unlike steel alternatives, PVCu mesh reveal beads are an unobtrusive component of insulating systems that will never rust or stain. The inherent strength and durability of PVCu also helps to protect the render from damage in the event of impact.

Correctly specified and installed EWI beading helps to achieve well-defined and reinforced edges in externally insulated and rendered walls. As with all PVCu bead profiles, mesh reveal beads provide a good key, allowing installers to achieve the best possible finish.

Available in 6mm or 9mm depths, mesh reveal beads are offered in white as standard. If required, they can be painted on site using water-based paint.

PVCu bead colour options

All Renderplas PVCu beads, whether used for external render or internal plaster, are available in white to match the majority of render and plaster specifications.

Therefore, our external PVCu render beads come in up to nine colours to match the vast majority of renders available from the leading UK manufacturers, including Clayworks, Ecorend, K Rend, Parex and Weber. Renderplas PVC beads need no alternative maintenance and eliminate the time and cost of repainting, which would be required when using steel bead alternatives. Colours are UV stabilised to provide a perfect finish for years to come.
