Plaster stop bead applications

Plaster stop beads are designed for use as part of internal plastered finishes. They provide a clean stop to the plaster around window frames, door frames and other openings. The inherent strength and durability of PVCu profiles helps to protect the finish against impact damage.

If the internal finish is a dry-lined application, then plasterboard stop beads should be used. For external finishes, render stop beads are used with external rendering, and mesh stop beads for External Wall Insulation (EWI) systems.

Correctly specified and installed, plaster beading helps to achieve well-defined and reinforced edges in plastered walls. As with all PVCu bead profiles, plaster stop beads provide a good key, allowing installers to achieve the best possible finish.

Stop beads are small components which can have a big impact on the aesthetics of plastered finishes in residential and commercial projects. Available in depths of 3mm to 12mm to suit the chosen plaster depth, our stop beads are available in white as standard. A number of profile depths are also available in eight other colours to help complement the render colour.

All Renderplas PVCu beads, whether used for external render or internal plaster, are available in white to match the majority of render and plaster specifications.

Therefore, our external PVCu render beads come in up to nine colours to match the vast majority of renders available from the leading UK manufacturers, including Clayworks, Ecorend, K Rend, Parex and Weber. Renderplas PVC beads need no alternative maintenance and eliminate the time and cost of repainting, which would be required when using steel bead alternatives. Colours are UV stabilised to provide a perfect finish for years to come.
