Render beads

Render bead profiles are designed for use throughout external render systems. PVCu render beading from Renderplas is a small, unobtrusive component of render systems, which can have a big impact on the aesthetics of residential and commercial projects.

Renderplas is one of the only beading manufacturers to have BBA certification for its external render beads and the only one whose certification covers movement joints. Our range features four different render bead profiles.

At facade changes like window and door openings, stop beads give a perfect straight finish to render and protect against impact. Meanwhile, where render finishes above the damp proof course, a bellcast bead (or drip bead) also gives a straight edge and potentially, an attractive shadowing effect.

Movement in the render, such as expansion or compression, or in the wall structure behind the render, can be accommodated with expansion joint beads (also known as movement joint beads). Finally, angle beads (or corner beads) help to create a sharp finish to corners and protect the render at one of its most vulnerable points.

Render beading solutions from Renderplas are a high-performance, maintenance-free solution. PVCu overcomes many of the shortcomings associated with traditional steel bead profiles, as it is easier to handle, safer to cut and guaranteed never to rust or stain.

All building components have to support a project’s environmental goals and render beading is no exception. Ecopoint calculations, underpinned by a whole life-cycle assessment, are available to demonstrate the environmental impact of our recycled PVCu beads.

It’s little surprise, therefore, that Renderplas products are the most specified beading in UK construction. Our solutions give specifiers and contractors peace of mind that they’re using a safe and sustainable product that doesn’t compromise the quality of the end result.

All of our render bead profiles are readily available through an extensive merchant network. They are easy to install on site and help to achieve a long-lasting, perfect finish for housebuilders and homeowners.

Where a project features external wall insulation, external insulation beads featuring glass fibre mesh can be used. In addition to external finishes, Renderplas PVCu beading can be used internally. A range of plaster beads and plasterboard beads (or dry lining beads) is also available.
