Render bellcast bead (or drip bead) profiles are specified just above the damp proof course and above reveals. They are designed to provide a stop to the render and a drip line for rainwater.

Render bell cast bead applications

Render bellcast beads are designed for use as part of external render systems. Installed just above the damp proof course, they provide a clean stop to the render and a drip line for rainwater. They are also used above reveals, such as the top of openings for doors and windows.

They create a straight edge that helps to deflect water away from the wall, while also protecting against potential impact damage.

For projects looking to achieve a distinctive finish or aesthetic, bellcast beads can also be used at each storey to create a shadowing effect that adds architectural interest. As with all PVCu bead profiles, render bellcast beads provide a good key, allowing installers to achieve the best possible finish.

Available in depths of 10mm to 20mm to suit the chosen render, all bellcast beads are available in each of Renderplas’ nine colour options, to help complement the render colour. The 10mm small wing bellcast bead is available in white only.
